Nintendo 3DS!

Nintendo 3DS?Wow… did Nintendo just announced a new hardware? I still can’t believe it… According to Engadget, Nintendo just released a press release that a new 3D-capable “portable game machine” aka Nintendo 3DS will be launched soon. The Nintendo 3DS will backward compatible with DS games, so DS/DSi owners can rejoice! Nintendo is planning to announce more details of the hardware in this year’s E3 (15th June 2010). So far, the only detail of the hardware is that the 3DS won’t require any special glasses to view the 3D effects. I think it will be something similar to the 3D photo frame by Fujifilm.

I’m bit surprised that Nintendo decided to announce the new hardware now. And I never expect them to do 3D since Sony probably stronger in this. Will the next-gen PSP 3D-capable?

*Updated* Check out my new post here for more details of the Nintendo 3DS!

HTTPS Access is now Default in GMail

The GMail team announced that the https connection will be used by default when you login into your Gmail account. This option is not new and is already exist since 2008. So, what is HTTPS? An excerpt from Gmail’s help:

HTTPS, or Hypertext Transfer Protocol Secure, is a secure protocol that provides authenticated and encrypted communication.

It is good that Gmail enable it by default from now on. But there is a drawback, using https connection is slower that using the normal http connection. But for better privacy/security protection, I guess that it is better to use https connection.

Team Fortress 2: War!

Team Fortress 2: Demoman vs SoldierFinally, a class update for Soldier (my favorite class)! There is also a class update for Demoman too. This means that all the classes in TF2 already have their class updated. For this class updates, it is a bit special. There is a competition or “war” between these two classes. The class that wins in this war will get an extra weapon! I hope that the soldier will win this war…

Google’s Real-time Search Result

Another new feature in Google! Just notice this when I was searching something using IE8. Can’t get it to work in Firefox though. :/

ps: The video is recorded using ScreenToaster. Pretty easy to use. Will probably write a post on it in the future. 🙂
