According to a leaked Best Buy memo, the Windows 7 upgrade will cost you $50 to $100. The Windows 7 Home Premium upgrade will be priced at $50 while the Professional version will cost $100. If this is real, then it is quite cheap! I’m sure that this will encourage more people to upgrade their OS.

Windows Media Player 11

Do you face any lagging problem in Windows Media Player 11? While changing the track, it can take up to 5 seconds to change to the next song. To solve this problem, please follow the steps below:

1. Open Start Menu -> Type “Sound” in the search bar -> Select “Sound“.
2. In the “Sound” window, select the “Speakers” and click the “Properties” button at the bottom right.

3. The “Speaker Properties” window will pop up. Go to the “Enhancements” tab.

4. Make sure that “Disable all sound effects” option is unchecked.
5. Done!

    Windows Defender blocked a startup program in Vista

    Program blocked during startup in Vista? Don’t worry! There are solutions for it. One of the easiest way is to disable UAC. But it is not recommended as it is not a good practice to disable UAC. But there is another solution to enable the program to run during startup which is to use Task Scheduler. headcrash industries have a full instruction on how to unblock program that requires administrator privilege during startup.

    The long awaited Service Pack 3 for Windows XP is now available to public! Click here to download the installer for XP 32-bit, English. According to DailyTech, there are 1100+ hotfixes in this service pack. SP3 should be the last service pack for Windows XP, since Microsoft will stop producing Windows XP this June.
