Windows 7 Pricing and Upgrade Program Announced

Microsoft has announced the official pricing of Windows 7. Price for Full package:

  • Windows 7 Home Premium (Full): $199.99
  • Windows 7 Professional (Full): $299.99
  • Windows 7 Ultimate (Full): $319.99

Pricing for users who are upgrading from Windows XP or Vista:

  • Windows 7 Home Premium (Upgrade): $119.99
  • Windows 7 Professional (Upgrade): $199.99
  • Windows 7 Ultimate (Upgrade): $219.99

There is also a special limited time for selected market. Customers that pre-order the operating system can get the following pricing (starting from 26th June):

  • Windows 7 Home Premium Upgrade pre-order: $49.99
  • Windows 7 Professional Upgrade pre-order: $99.99

Microsoft also announced the Windows 7 Upgrade Option Program. If you are buying a new PC that come pre-installed with Windows Vista Home Premium/Business/Ultimate now (26th June), you’ll get a free upgrade (or pay a little) to Windows 7! Please note that this only available from a participating OEM or retailer. Check this site for the list of participating OEM/retailer. This offer will available until 31st January 2010.

So far, still no official pricing for Malaysia. I hope that they’ll announce it soon. I wonder if Malaysia will get those special offer or not…
