Happy 49th Independence to all Malaysians!
Archive for August, 2006Firefox 1.5.0.6 is out. This is a stability update that fixed some issue with Windows Media content. It is recommended that you download this update. I think you’ll notice that I added a new thing on the navigation bar. Yup, its a web messanging service provided by meebo! Now you can chat with your visitors in realtime. Just create an account at meebo and add an widget, then paste the code into your website. Its that easy! Come one and join the fun of chatting! This is my mini review on Writely. Once you login, you’ll see a list of documents that you recently use. The interface is simple and clean. There is no ad at the site, but this may change in the future. Documents are divided into four types (or view): Active, Starred, Tagged, All Documents. Active means the documents that you recently use (within 1 month). Starred documents are documents that you marked, something like favorite/bookmark. If you are GMail user, I’m sure that you see the feature before. You can also apply tag to your document.Tagging is one of the best way to organize your files. This is because you’re not restricted to one type of tag. You can add several tags to one document. For the ‘All Documents’ tab, as the title said, it view all the documents that you created and saved. There is also a trash function where you can recover documents that you deleted. I have some Writely invites to give away. So, if you are interested, leave a comment under this post. Don’t post your email here. I don’t think you want the spambot to harvest your email, right? For those who don’t know what Writely: Writely is an online word processor by Google. As the usual stuff that offered by Google (GMail, GCalendar, etc), Writely is using AJAX. And you can share the document with other friends using the collaborator function. I’ll explain more in my ‘review’ later. |
